Principles of Plant Physiology

چکیده
This book is a summation of discussions on the control of renal function by the pituitary and adrenal cortex. The data on these subjects are presented by outstanding authorities and the conclusions drawn from the data are criticized by representatives of many ancillary fields. In this way the perspectives of several scientific disciplines and specialties are brought to bear on renal function. The book is well organized and yet the "give and take" of the discussions is preserved. The studies of the effects of ACTH and cortisone on renal function will be of particular interest to the clinician. The role of the pituitary will be of greater interest to the research worker and advanced student. The bibliographies which are appended to the chapters add greatly to the utility of the book. R. E. An Inquiry-based Approach to Teaching Plant Physiology
The principles of plant physiology are best learned in an environment where students are directly engaged in the process of scientific inquiry. Working from this assumption, we have developed a two-stage approach to laboratory instruction that fosters student-directed research within an undergraduate plant physiology course. During the first 10 weeks of a 16week semester, students develop compe...
متن کاملOptimization of Control System of Petroleum Refinery Isomerization Unit by Plant-Wide Control Principles
Industrial process control system due to integration of equipment, existing material and energy recycle streams and their effects are extraordinary importance. The process in terms of safety, product quality and control stability have a challenge when there was defects in a process control system. The isomerization process is gaining importance in the presence of refining context due to upgradi...
متن کاملSorting and anterograde trafficking at the Golgi apparatus.
In general, the basic principles of trafficking systems in plant cells appear to be similar to those in animal and yeast cells, indicating that trafficking mechanisms arehighly conserved throughout all eukaryotes (Jurgens, 2004; Vitale and Hinz, 2005). However, there are still considerable variations at the molecular level as well as in applying these basic principles to situations in plant cel...
متن کاملHarmony and conformity between principles of traditional medicine and our modern findings in science of physiology
In the first international congress on traditional medicine and materia medica, an article with the title of "Matching the principles and fundamentals of traditional medicine with findings and subjects in contemporary modern medicine" was presented and publication of a book in this matter was promised. The book was published with the title of “New insight in etiology, prevention and treatment o...
متن کاملEffects of Climate Change and Drought-Stress on Plant Physiology
Drought is still limited in most crops is produced. Morphological and physiological knowledge to improve drought resistance under drought conditions created problems important is the fact each of these genetic relationships and processes associated with the exact amount of important plant and grain yield is unknown. The other hand, heritability of grain yield under water is reduced. Improve the...
متن کاملA simple analog of visual field retinal projection.
Basic biophysical principles of the eye, such as the retinal projection of the visual field, bidimensional image inversion, blind point determination, visual field and retinal quadrants, perimetric principles, and determination of scotoma, are seen on a working anatomic model of the eye and its visual field that can easily be constructed at very low cost and from easily obtained materials: an o...
